Question Serious Problem...

I just got my XMOD today, lol the first Skyline I bought sucked, so I took it back, the second one was much better. But moving on to my problem...My Skyline has a problem with the wheels...For one the right rear wheel wont screw in all the way, and its kind of loose, then on the two front wheels, they are not straight, and i used the straighting function on the controller, but no sucess....Do the Skylines have this problem? Is there anyway to fix it? Or should i take this one back as well??? Thanks in advance.

Ryan

As for your loose wheel problem...

Some of the cars have axle pin threads that are longer than the depth of the lugnut. You can do one of two things. Drill out the end of your stock lugnut so the threads can go thru, or buy some aluminum lugnuts which are open ended to begin with.

As for your straight wheel problem, you can try to remount the servo horn. You can find a link to a tutorial in my signature...

Know of any place that I could buy those lug nuts?

I dunno what's around you, but my LHS had some lug nuts for a micro RS4 for .75 cents with tax. I put them on and my wheels don't wobble anymore.

ah, just cut teh center bit of your nylon lugs out....the contrast also looks rather nice too

EDIT: I found out why the centers are closed like that, structural strength, cracked a few lugs that way. Oh well, time to go to mr. metric and buy some nuts to replace em.

Skyline

My first Skyline i bought ran for about 25 seconds, then something shorted out. I took it back, they replaced it, and I haven't had a problem w/ it yet. It made me kind of wonder, after owning a kyosho miniz, and a micro by hpi.. if radio shack had a couple of bugs to work out. After all, they're new to the game.

I bought a set of 2mm lug nuts from a mini-z they are aluminum and they are anodized purple so they look sweet as well.
