Ground clearance

This thing has no ground clearance whatsoever. I was drivin it around wit the mild body kit and you can hear it dragging around. So i have been driving it around wit the body off. But i flipped it over and crashed it a few times. The accel. seems much better wit the body off tho. Is it bad that i flipped it over with the body off?? One more thing, i hadda change the screw with the antenna cause it wasn't staying in the hole, so i used a bigger screw.

I try not to drive mine with the body off any more because last night I was doing that and ran into my cats scratching post and the steering stopped working, nothing(didnt hit it hard).I got it back together this morning but it took a complete disassembly of the steering servo.I found some small bits of black plastic slivers in there (strange). Its a pain to get it back together just right and one of the wires fell off the pot so I had to fix that.

The pot is very sensitive but I was wondering if we could change that out to help get more steering throw.
The pot is what gives feedback to the receiver telling it how far you have turned the steering wheels.
