I for one haven't had any serious problems, so yes they're worth getting. For every one problem you see here there's probably 20 or more good ones.

I've had mine for several days now, and I haven't had any problems with it that I couldn't fix. It's an awsomce RC and for the amount of stuff you can do to it, you really can't beat the $50 price tag.
Just my 2 cents.

They are fun and they are worth it.They are not as refined in the TX/RX area but it does work very good just the same.
I havnt seen any trend in these cars that would point to a serious defect yet.
corysmith,
The things I'm looking at for increasing speed is making it lighter, finding a GOOD motor for it and increase batteries to 6 cell (I hope it can handle the batts)
I am still drawing on my chassis and it is almost done, just a few more things to do on it then I can cut it.(I hope it all fits together)

I have six of these, and I haven't had any problems with any of them. I've only had one small issue on one car with the axle pins being a little longer than the depth of the plastic nuts, but I bought aluminum locknuts with an open end to take care of that.

My three year old mini-z recently died (bad receiver board I think) so I was looking for a car to replace it. The XMODS cars have been better than I have expected so far. The steering is not as good as a stock mini-z (though still pretty good) but the suspension is better than a stock mini-z. I have not had a problem with either one of the two that I have so far. The only minor compalint I have is that you have to readjust the trim each time after you turn off the car. If your car does not track straight out of the box this is a minor issue. Overall an excellent car for the price.

Don't worry about not finding one. Every Shack I've been to has had them.
