Radio Shack upped the ante

I think xmods are going to be great for our hobby. Even though I still think that my mini z is a little better quality wise, I think the xmods are excellent for the price. People who are on the fringe of getting into micro rcs are going to get into it when they see these things. Companies will come out with clones & we will see an explosion of these type rc cars by christmas. The more people we can get into these things the better. More people = more product and thats always a good thing.

The 'what you pay' to 'what you get' ratio is nice and high with the XMods. Add the fact that RadioShack is a ubiquitous chain and lots of advertising...I definitely agree, XMods is going to be big.

Heck, there's already a 2 car limit on buying the XMods online!

I like being able to drive <1 mile to buy parts. Mini-Zs can't compare there. The details are great compared to 1/10 scale lexan bodies. I just wish you could use a normal transmitter, though the included one is rather nice, in feel and design. I'll take this thing around a 1/10 track tomorrow as a joke- "XMODS vs. Nitro TC3" .

I think the one thing these cars need is an internal antenna-to fit in the nice case, and to make them look even better.
