Huge antana

I am waiting for some parts so I can run my car
then I found a old antana off a aircraft radio or something
my car is 35 mhs

and got well over 100ft before range more then enough for me I could run it to the end of my street with perfect reception

then I got board and decided to hook up this antana

I ended up totally resodering every wire in the remote and did quite a bit of dremeling

and now I have a 29 inch antana fully extended from the top of the remote
it works
but since the car doesnt I cant test it

I was wondering has any one else ever done anything like this
