Is it true???

I read somewhere that the controller only half charges the battery. Is it true???Should I double charge my Micro?I have a Micro Pro,if that makes any difference. Also, should I do any mods to it right away to make it better?I already plan on adding tires,an r-spec motor, and a stabilizer kit.Maybe springs???

Thanks!

I routinely triple charge my cars and it works fine. You'll get longer runtimes. Actually it is Skylinez 4-eva that is full of crap, the standard charge from the standard controller only uses a portion of the battery capacity. Double and triple (even quadruple) charges will give you longer runtimes, perhaps at the expense of overall battery life. But, I have yet to wear out a battery and I drive quite a bit, although my driving is split between 5 or so cars.

Look up some of Namuna's posts regarding battery capacity, milliamps, and milliamps per hour if you really want to know what's going on.

There is no difference between a Microsizer original and a Pro from a battery standpoint.

If you're looking at mods and are interested in batteries and runtime, upgrading the battery to one with a higher capacity is a good mod. Of the other mods you mentioned, you will get the least noticeable difference from changing the stabilizer. I woudn't do springs until you've driven for a while and feel like you have a problem that springs will fix. To me, the surface you are driving on has more to do with how a car handles than any of the mods you might do.

Get a 200mah battery. And the answer is yes, you should charge it twice.

I wish I had the tools and the steady hand to do a battery swap.I am probably just going to get a new motor, and maybe fool around with the tires and stabilizers for the heck of it.

Would the R-Spec be a good motor?I want awesome speed,but some torque,too.

#1: The answer to the original question is no, it doesn't 1/2 charge the battery...It's more like 1/4 charge

2 or 3 consecutive charges will produce quite a bit more runtime.

#2: SkyLiNEz 4-eva! I guess there's just no reform for some people. It's one thing to put out wrong info, but you feel the need to claim that any other info is full of it? You're out of here chief.

#3: eman1 I'll ask you to hold back from any form of retaliation. If someone posts something inflammatory, use the 'report this post to a moderator' link to report it. You're only going to get yourself in trouble along with the offender from doing such things.

alright sorry, i edited my post.
And a battery swap isnt hard. The first time i did it i was practically shaking. It was almost funny. I did it successfully. Just use a really small screwdriver to slowly push the wires out of the way. Then use the screwdriver to pry out the battery.
Ive done it three times so far. The second and third times i just did it today, it wasnt hard at all. Took under 30 seconds each.
