Hmm, haven't seen these yet. You got any pics to show? How much were they and does the controller have two up down buttons or a regular button layout?

I went ahead and pulled the body. As far as I can see at this point, 1 battery (duh!), 2 motors, one driving the right treads thru the lower back wheel, one driving the left treads thru the lower front wheel. I will pull it apart more in depth after I play with it a bit. I will have to break the lower shell to go any further.

Hmmm, that's an interesting looking beast. They still don't have these in my area yet. Ahh5hit, can you post a side view of the chassis without the body? I'd like to see the treads in more detail.

Thank you sir! That's exactly what I needed. I've been thinking about getting one of the ones sold on ebay for a certain mod I have in mind, but these would work very nicely. I'm wanting to build a custom body on top of the platform. Kind of a Lost in Space kind of Chariot with a lighted interior. Not a replica, but something along the same lines. Like a futuristic ATV kind of thing. The DigiQs wouldn't work because it would be stupid to remove the cool battle hardware. But, the tops of these are all show anyway and would be great guinea pigs. Yeah, I know, I'm a geek, lol.

i have one also, i was thinking about making a robot to the one on "short circuit" with a bit board as a torso and useing the steering coils as hands to pick up stuff.

Now your talkin! I had a similar idea but was gonna save it until I had something to show. If you take that platform and combine it with several other pcbs of differing frequencies, you could make a bot that has many articulations. Combining all of the controller buttons into one box would give you a very functional RC robot in micro size. Or, how about a mobile platform with an articulated arm on top to play fetch and stack games timed for competition. The possibilities are endless really.

This is very true. Everytime I buy another car and open it up, I'm amazed by the changes. And no other company is ofering so many diverse products.
