Modded Zip, got banned....
We've got a micro R/C race club going here at work. Most guys have Zips, but we have a Precious clone and some Bensu's, and a Microsizer. The Precious had been cleaning everyone's clock UNTIL I dual celled my Zip. Now since I went "too far" with my mods (they just swap around motors and gears), I've been put into a different class and nobody will run me anymore. I just thought it was funny, I think they're just jealous.
Love the forum guys, long time reader, first time poster. These things are almost as fun as my real cars. Nothing like doing some beer bottle slaloms in the kitchen after getting home from work.

u should've done the mosfet mod, not tell them and say u bought a new zip and it was a lucky find. when they ask u to prove that it's not dual celled, open it up and show taht u only got one cell in there =)

Then wheelie it across the conference table. They would all come back the next day with a new zip. LOL

Back when I first got into these cars I had the same problem. Me and a couple of guys would get together on weekends and race, drink and have alotta fun. It was better than cards. Unfortunatly I started with the dual cells and the pcb swaps and ordering high rpm motors off the net and started whooping them. They wanted faster cars too so they started to dual cell and buy faster motors. By the end we had 3 seprate classes. We had a stock car, modified and super modified.
Unfortunatly they lost interest one by one and are to damn lasy to continue modding so Now I'm left with noone to race wit
I personally say anything goes.
