Yes, the chargers are different, the top one is for Combat Digi Q only and the bottom one is for Digi-Q and Digi Q R cars. Also on the site where that picture is it specificlly says and I qoute "Does NOT work with Digi Q
Formula or Konami Digi Combat

No not at all, for there complexity they are rather cheap. I looked inside the 4 bay charger myself and was very surprised to find a big circuit board with a couple of chips and sophisticated wiring. To me they arent really that expensive but to other people they are. You get what you pay for

hehehe, yes that too! I have already saved maybe 50 dollars on batterys. The charger is deffinatly worth the sum of 30 dollars. Its already payed for itself!
