Booster Help?

Does anybody own a TOMY bit char-g AUTO MODELLISTA SET? It comes with a 2.2 motor... but I was wondering if i could take that motor out and put a 4.2 perfection motor in it.. but i wasnt sure if the booster would still work... does it need a "booster only motor" or can it use any motor?
