Easy and highly effective speed mod

I have a KIT/BIT racer (RPM) and Today I decided to do the KIT racer axle mod. I used the blue gears (4.57:1). All you have to do is shave off about 2mm of the spacer on the wheel opposite the gear so it will have enough room to snap on the MicroSizer.

SPACER gearset

Also, it may not increase performance on stock MS/BCG's, because
I did this on my MS PRO and it went slower than usual in un-boosted mode but had 2x better performance than stock gearing when in boosted mode. One last thing, for those of you who don't know where the spacer is, it's actualy part of the wheel.

hope it helps
David

PS- sorry for the lousy diagram, its the best my keyboard could manage. Its a picture of the rear axle, and is to show where the spacer is, the I's are supposed to be arrows.

the diagram didn't turn out how it looked on the New Message screen. It moved all the words and I's to the far left. just ignore it.
sorry.

so you shave the axle to make it fit on the Bit\MS?
i dont see why it wouldn't affect the speed. Maybe it gave it more
power.

okay, I'll try to explain it again (what I really need is pictures)

here is a piture of a wheel, the spacer is the o next to the [] and the axle is the ------. Remember, the spacer is actualy part of the wheel, it is the part that keeps the wheel from rubbing on the chassis.

[]o------

the gear and other wheel have been omitted so they dont distract you.

what you need to do is cut ~2-3 mm off the spacer so it will fit because originaly the amount of axle between the two wheels is too short. with me now? The reason it may not perform up to spec
without a booster car is because with a booster car you can press the boost button which not only makes the motor run faster but gives it more tourque as well. since the ratio is so low you need all the tourque you can get.

please post a reply if you do not understand as I will try to explain it to the best of my ability (I problably sound really confusing now).

Click Here for a better place to find instructions with pictures

one last thing, you need to use the larger WHITE 7T pinion gear when using KIT/BIT racer gears (it comes with the KIT/BIT racer motors) the black 6T pinion from MS/BCG motors WILL NOT WORK

if you have any more questions visit the link I posted or post a reply to this message.

whew,
David
