I was thinking of going to Epoching but now I'm looking @ mini Z. The community isn't dead, I see people in my general area to race, they cost about the same & they don't take a 9volt. I have a few Qs.

What would I enjoy racing by myself better? Mini Z or Epoch

How long would 700 mah Nimhs last in in a Mini Z. I got into mini r/cs cause I liked the concept of quick charge & I'm not an individual who owns a 1 hr charger ($35-40! Maybe AFTER my car!) so I want really good runtime. I honestly don't get WHY they don't use AA's in the car too.

I'd be alone most of the time. What would I prefer? I'm leaning towards the Epoch becuase I can race it indoors but the community is deader than well *kicks box of assoted cards*

i don't own an epoch so i'll leave the comparisons to others. although i've heard a +1 cell epoch is fun to drive! you are limited in body selection...

the mini z scene is very much alive! go to tiny's sister site www.minizracer.com and you'll see all the activity!

a stock mini z with 700mah nimh's will run for 50-70 min's, depends on conditions...how you drive. there are numerous hop ups for the mini z....too many to mention. if you do get a mini z. be aware a new chassis/design will be available this summer...you might want to wait for the new one or get an existing one for (what will surely be) cheaper than they are now.
