Hey guys, this is my first post but I've been lurking around for a few weeks now that I've finally gotten a microsizer/BitCharG (Yellow RX-7). These things are my new addiction!
Anyways. I got my RX-7 and was really happy with it. Of course, stock microsizers aren't very fast, and I wanted a lot more speed. So until I got the motors and batteries that I ordered online, I wanted to find a bigger motor around the house. The guy at the store I bought it at said cellphones and pagers had good motors in them.
The best I could find though was an old toothbrush. I cracked it open, and got the motor out. Tested it with two AAA's in series, and it worked great. Then I spent about 4 hours mounting the motor and batteries to the chassis. When I turned it on, it actually flipped itself!

So then I used some washers to add counterweights to the front.
(The motor itself is mounted vertically, it's height is about from the back of the chassis to the back of the front wheels)
It's very ugly, but it's incredibly fast, and it's my first mod that I did just because I REALLY wanted to try my own mod after seeing some of you guy's original ideas. I'll try to post some pics of it soon. It's ugly but um...really really fast. This is a great forum, BTW.
