new way to find speed??

i have an idea for finding the speed of a zip zap or any other tiny rc for that matter....first get a tread mill and place ur zip zap on it slowly speen up the tread mill while keeping the zip zap floored....keep speeding it up untill the zip zap starts losing ground, or moving backwards...then just look at the speedometer on the tread mill.....think it will work??

I actually know of quite a few people that have done this. Yes it will work just don't let your friends crank it all the way to high or you'll probably end up with a broken zz.

no, thats not the best way to do it, it is very hard to find a good balance between going to fast and too slow on the treadmill. i run it on the treadmill for fun, but the speedometer is broken.(DOH!) i think its just better to measure it using a set distance and some sort of watch to clock the cars. if you can rig up a trigger system then it will be very accurate. im trying to accomodate this into my drag track im building...
