The pic on my monitor looks like the endbell color is yellow, which in MS/bit char motors would be a 2.2. I did see a "4.0" somewhere with a yellow endbell. Unfortunatly I don't remember who was selling them. I think the wait for a more reliable source is a must before jumping on a motor rated at 4.0.

phast motor has a white endbell. my phast motor is actually better than my perfection or 4.0 so i know it isnt just some motor that rcmod gave a name to. also, my 4.0 has like a dark pink endbell. i initially thought they were 3.8's but when i raced it, they were faster than 3.8's. plus their torque isnt that bad either it doesnt have much trouble getting off the line and it runs well on my carpet just fine in my booster car (even without the boost on). and i know it's a 4.0 cuz when i turn the car on tile it flips while a perfection 3.8 does not have the same effect. i havent done many tests on the phast motor yet cuz i'm scared i'll burn it out but i've raced it against my perfection and rspec. it's a lot faster than my perfection and a bit faster than rspec. it's hard for me to tell how much faster it is compared to my rspec because it has more torque so it gets off the line faster, so when they both reach full speed, the rspec is behind and i cant really tell how much faster the phast motor is. but i can tell you that it is faster. i raced it against the f34 too and it's faster (obviously). all in all i really like the phast motor. i am not sure of it's durability yet so i havent done too many tests but so far it works well in both my boosted and non boosted cars. i'll try putting it in my precious, my lxx charg booster, my zcar and maybe my motorworks if it'll fit. i'll see what happens tho.

also, don't go by the pictures cuz they never seem to get the right motor in the pictures. it's like how f34 has the same picture as the 3.2 on tinyrc. they probably both have the same endbell but f34 is better. so even if the 4.0 has a yellow endbell that doesnt automatically mean it's a 2.2 and sucks.

hehe, shot in the nuts....
motor endbell color means very little... unless we're talking TOMY brand motors. those are always consistant.
my bitmod 3.5 had a pink endbell, while my 3.2 had a white endbell, and the 3.8 also had a white endbell. JDMtoys 3.8 also has a white endbell... they're running out of colors, so i guess 4.0's gonna have an assload of overlap...
all just chillax...
