Battery swap opinion
Through one of my distributors I can get one of these packs (I attached a picture)...its 4.8v (4 cells) and 180mAH
Pack size: 3.5" x 0.93."
They are NiMH cells so the stock charger would be compatible (or AC cord)
If I could get these to fit in my epoch (which I think I can, they are very very thin) would anybody be interested in buying a pack for say...$10?

What major beneifts will you gain, I can c it will make it lighter, but would that be a good thing, beause one of the major advantages of my epoch over a viper clone is its weight, which in my opinion makes it handle a lot better.

I honestly don't know how much it will weigh, but I would imagine it would weigh MORE because the cells are more dense (higher capacity)
the capacity of a cell has a direct relation to its weight, in general

Nice idea, but...
a) Allelectronics.com does not count as one of *your* distributors Anyone who wants one can buy it for $2.
b) There's no way you'd fit four of these in the same space as four 1/3aaa's. Here's a pic of four of these 180mAh cells next to four 1/3aaa cells. Please post pics if you can prove me wrong though!

Oops, forgot to mention:
If you're really crazy, you can put 12 1.2v button cells in the space of those four 1/3aaa's for 14.4v, 40mAh. *IF* it didn't explode on the spot, it'd be great for drag racing, although run-times would be short. See the Layman's dual cell mod link in my sig for more info on that type of battery (it's a bit-charg mod).

I don't think 40mah is enought to get it down a simulated 1/4 mile. Besides, 12 cells would fry it.

$2 is a good price, but I get my batteries through PoweriZer in China directly, besides, the $10 pack would be arrange such that it would fit in an epoch.
Thanks though, I do appreciate the comparison picture for size

Ya, like I said, you'd have to be really crazy to use 12 cells. Just pointing out that it could be done. Don't blame me if you fry something.
Blind, so you'd arrange these somehow so that they'd fit, then shrink wrap 'em or something and sell 'em? I guess if you're creative you could get 'em to fit.. I don't know how much empty space is in an epoch, since mine is still in the mail. You would gain a little runtime over the 150mAh's, and every little bit helps I guess. Post pics if you get it to fit.

The battery compartment is just barely big enough for the Bit 1/3AAA's. It's not even big enough for 4 of the Zap 1/3 AAA's (slightly longer). You will not be able to get those oversized button cells in there w/o cutting or melting the car's chassis. It's tight. You may be able to stack them 2x2 and bend the snot outta' the chassis. Good luck.
