Chameleon Colored Bit-CharG

Since I had time during Spring Break, I decided to paint my Bit-CharG again. The first time, I picked up the wrong color (purple/gold). I repainted the car and I'm getting a whole lot of colors... a big improvement compared to my first attempt (http://forums.gideontech.com/viewtopic.php?t=9800). I now get green, purple, blue, and sometimes red and orange depending on the light.

Click on the pic to enlarge.

What do you guys think? I'm not sure I should leave the wheels white.

I got the paint from Wal-mart. It's called Mirage paint... it's from the automotive section. The paint actually comes in a kit: 1 can of primer, 1 can of color, and 1 can of clear coat. All that was only $17+tax. This is much cheaper than the ones they use on real cars; those are about $500/pint... it's ridiculous.

To get that finish, it actually took me 5 tries to finally get it right. There are actually two different sets available. One was Purple/Gold and the one I got was Purple/Green.

It's spray paint from Wal-Mart. It took time to make it look that good though... and lots of mistakes... Luckily, it was only a $18 mistake... I'd hate to learn my mistakes through $500 buckets of chameleon paint.

Chrome Illusion right? Changes color in different light.

A couple years ago Jeff Gordon (1998 & 1999 Winston All Star Events) used Chromo on his Dupont sponsred car

It's not that hard. Go pick up a can and give it a try. The results are worth it.
