CCP DGMaster RC's - EPOCH Clone?

Hey guys,

Does anyone know anything about these particular RC's? Here's a link at HLJ...

http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?CCP50959

They are fully porportional in speed and steering, and are the same 1/43 scale as the Epoch's and is half the price! Also both RC's have official licencing for car bodies, so I'm not sure you can call the DGMaster a clone! It also has selectable sub-frequencies.

I guess my main question is how comparable are they to the EPOCH brand and is there any way to modify them?

Thanks in advance!

These are exactly like the RadioShack 1/43rd scale viper and corvette. Actually they are the same if you compare controllers and such.

They are NOT fully proportional. Their throttle is true proportional, however their steering is not. Still far better than a ZZ or Bit, but they have 5 points of turning, not a true digital range of points. From my understanding the Epoch is a far better machine, however for the price these are good.

I Have a Viper,Corvette and DGMASTER Skyline, in addition to a couple of 4 cell Spec 2's. The DGMASTER/RS cars are nice but not nearly as nice as a Epoch Spec 2. They have have the same 3 cell batt as the Epoch but the handling is not very good, the traction is not very good either. However, they're faster than a stock Spec 2 if you can figure out how to keep them from spinning out or flipping over. I prefer the Spec 2 Epoch hands down. If you're really on a budget. RS usually marks these cars down big time after Christmas. I bought two Vipers for 11.99 a piece in FEB.
