Free yourself from the limitation of the Bits/DigiQ/ZipZaps and such!

Epochs are FULLY operational R/C cars...That means they use interchangeable crystals!

So YES! There's PLENTY more than 1

6 & 12? Man, I thought there'd be more. Oh well, as if 6 wasn't already more than enough (for me anyway )

I have seen epoch spec 2's at a local hobby shop for $78.88 (weird price) I love my spec 2's,now all I need is a good track to run them on.

I'm also thinking about buying one.

Do the differences between spec 1 and spec 2 warrent the price difference? I can pick up a spec 1 speed racer set on e.Bay for $28 + shipping, or I can get a spec-2 setup for $80

Is their any real difference in handling or speed? I understand the runtime is a bit different, but changing out the batteries is not a big deal for me.

Also, if I were to buy the spec 2 chassis set from here (tinyrc.com) for $65, would I need to buy a charger dock also? I have a mini-z overland, so I can use the radio and crystals from that, but on other sites selling the chassis kit for $65 they said it is just the car and shell, but no radio, charger, or crystals.

And furthermore, if anybody is selling a spec 2 impreza WRX please email me

If you pick up a speed racer set you'll probably be disappointed with the bodies and you can't switch them with the replacement spec-2 bodies without some modifications.

A spec-2 handles better (IMHO) than spec-1. And spec-2's have replacement parts.

If you buy the car and chassis set you will need your own charger (a Piranha Peak charger is recommended) and a controller with crystals.

I also got sucked into the ebay speed racer thingy. Although it is a good deal, I ended up getting a spec-2 too.

Hah, you must have missed my signature

I run a battery company, my charger is an astro flight 110d, it charges 1-18 cells between 0.3amps and 8amps

thanks for the info, I'll probably be buying a spec 2 chassis set from the shop here sometime soon.
