Looking for a better source for telescoping antennas to replace the one in the controller besides Radio Shack.
Downloaded Digikey catalog, but the anntennas don't list specs (like whow tall when not lengthened).
My ultimate goal is to find one which fits in the controller without sticking out. Closest I found in RS was 24" inch in 9 sections, but looking for a closer match in more sections than the OEM.
Well, you could try looking at all the antennas supplied with various TVs, Stereos, and such at Best Buy, Circuit City, Wally World and the like. If you find one that works, see if you can locate the manufacturer on line, or through an 800 number to buy a replacement antenna like the one you found. Worth a shot.

Are you opposed to drilling a new hole in the controller for the antenna to come out? It could come out the side (or back), and hinge flat against the controller. It would still be a larger than a stock controller, but you'd definitely be able to close the lid.
