What XMod to get?

Hi, Im new to this stuff and i dont know what one i should get. Whats the differences between the models? whats the best ones, so maybe i can add my own CUSTOM upgrades..biggest chassi (cant spell, i kno ) and if you'd like, our expirences using each car. Thanks - Dean

Skyline is the longest . suggest getting SPB motor if you know how to do it. IT CRAZY POWER AND CRAZY FAST

I enjoy my Supra because it has a long chassis, but it's not a Skyline. It seems like EVERYONE has a Skyline, and I like Supras alot, so that influenced my decision.

QUESTION:
What is a 6-cell car? or 6-Cell battery? 6-Cell..?
What does it do? Is it good? How much does it cost?

Well the X-Mod comes powered by 4 AAA cell batteries, which provides 6 Volts of power to everything. If you up the voltage, you're basically raising the amount of power the motor receives, and the motor will turn faster. So alot of people add 2 batteries to their cars to add speed.

1) Can you add any Mini-Z motors to XMods? (Same Size?)
2) Whats a FET? (Hard to upgrade?)
3) Whats the fastest someone can get a xmod to go?
4) How far (Range) can they go? (Hard to Mod. that?How far w/ mod?)
5) Is there ways to upgrade it so you can add more then 8.4v to it?
6) Are XMod motors AC or DC?
7) Where can you buy good xmod motors to make these things FLY!!!! lol (I LOVE SPEED!)
8) I have a Traxxas Rustler electric hobby car, are these the same size motors as xmod motors?

1. the X Speed fits fine.
2. it controls the voltage that gets sent to the motor and IDK how or where to get parts
4. bigger antenna
5. add more cells. or use alkalines that have 1.5 volts each for 9 volts.

8. if they are the big round ones im thinking of they wont fit. but any 180 sized motor will fit.

alright if you want to be like everyone get a skyline but you have to do a steering mod to the skyline so it go straight when not turning not fun plus skylines are very defective and you may return a few before you get a good one I returned my skyline for a rsx those are good because they are rarely defective and you can do the steering mod to it but you shouldn't have to if I were you I would try one car return it for a different one until figure out wich one you like best and get that one

just saying... b/c this annoys me alot.... there are 4 different xmods(not encluding colors), people dont buy skylines b/c other people have the, they buy them b/c they like them. I just get mad b/c some people won't buy something b/c they don't want to "copy" others even though there are just buying it b/c they want it(i know many ppl like this).

1.No, many motors require the use of a turbo/or twin turbo (which is an FETT upgrade), these motors WILL fry your car.

2. A FETT is a MOSFETT chip that regulates the amount of voltage going throught the ESC in your car and yes they are very difficult to upgrade unless someone can figure out who to use a mini-z turbo/twin turbo

3.People are still experimenting, but in the 20+mph range so far..

4.Outside I do crappy because of radio interferrence I get only like 50ft. Undeground in the parking garage it's unlimited because it gets out of sight before out of range, so it depends on your location

5. I'm running 8.7V using 6 Rayovac IC3s which I've tested at 1.45V each with my FLUKE

6.um...go to school kid....ANYTHING powered off of batteries is DC

7. Make your own or beg somebody here like Neurokinetic to do it for you...ignore that NML guy b/c $50-$60 is too much to pay for a motor in a &50 car IMHO

8. Hell No...your rustler would chew one of these things up and spit it out in an instant.

9. If you have a rustler then you should know that cells=the number of batteries. Your Rustler uses a 6-cell 7.2 V pack standard but will run a LOT better with a 7 cell humpback pack.

10.The only differences in these cars is the length of them and their driveshafts...the RSX is the shortest, the Supra and Nissan are the longest and I'm not sure about the Civic. None is really better than the other. I got the Supra simply because they were out of the Skylines, but I want to keep it real and keep the Supra rear-wheel drive, so I may get a Skyline and make it AWD and/or get a Civic and make it FWD... they're addictive...
