Bloody Servo
I've hooked up the control and power wires in every fashion possible (Yes, I used the RS reciever diagram) and still, no matter which order i put the three big wires in, and no matter which combination of FETs i put the power wires on, the same result still occurs: The servo turns to the left when the throttle is squeezed, and doesnt do anything in reverse. Is it possible that RS changed the wiring configuration on newer escs? I ordered it from RS, and there are a couple other minor differences, so whats the deal?

That wouldn't affect which controls the servo responded to. Perhaps I forgot to mention it responds to throttle input, but not to steering input. I'd really like some help with this, I've actually used my xmod for >2 hours and had it sitting in pieces for over a month. I finally got it to where i thought it was working and reassembled it, where it took off like a bat out of hell... In circles. It's rather disheartening to dump $250 worth of stuff in to a car and have it honker out.

I ment while you were redoing the connection to the PCB.
Maybe it's the actual servo that is the problem?
I'd doubr that though.
Now that i think about it, That happened to me before.
My connections of the three wires were loose.
Try checking for that.

But that wouldn't affect where the control of the servo comes from, would it? I just got this freakin esc, if i have to get another one i'm gonna cry Anywhere sell pre-attached servo-esc-reciever combinations?

Yeah it would.
When the wires were loose. (any)
My servo will be stuck to the left.
When i wiggled it it would work properly again.
Then i saw that my connections sucked.
I can solder your PCB back for a small price or a stock Z33 front bumper...
Or just forget ALL the hassle, sell your XMod and get a real r/c.

Servo wireing problem.
I have an electronics package to a supra. The servo's blue and red tiny wires came off the pcb, I have never seen them wired on before (b/c plastic cover) I do not know where to solder them bakc on to. Can someone maybe post a pick of the servo soldered in properly. If i can get it working, it's a free xmod with some RS upgrades in it. I'm very confident in my soldering skills. I have all the tools neccesary. Just can't read stupid electronic diagrams, and relate it to a pcb.
Thx guys

Those are wired to the steering FETs.
Located right above (top of the PCB) the throttle FETs.

It's ALIVE
Alright sweet, while i had the servo out i did the resistor mod. Soldered the blue/red back in. Reassembled my new supra, this thing does circles around my NSX! Highly recomend the resistor mod if you're adept at soldering. Thanx for the quick response i thought it would take days
Just waiting for my litium ions, CF driveshaft, and widetrack bearings now.... *drool*
