replacement parts should be avail.
I've seen a bunch of people bring back thier cars because of a replacement part being missing or broken. They should set up a program like hobby class..where if you break a part you can get just that part.Does this make sense?also do you think it will actually be implimented?.imagine website that sell after market xmod parts ..sweet.

You know I really think it all depends on RS's intentions.I think thier first motivation is money, thats what they are in this for I hope they want a bit more than just money but time will tell.
If people keep returning broken cars it will cut into profits at some point and they would be wise to just have the needed parts availible.
One of the big problems I see is the chassis, specifically the lower kingpin hole, if it breaks then the chassis is pretty much garbage for alot of people.
I am working on a chassis but it will be about the same deal if it breaks unless I redesign mine a bit, my first one will be fiberglas but later I hope to do colored carbon fiber.

I would imagine that they can barely make enough cars to keep up with the demand! The most common parts broken are probably in the works for special orders. I worked for Radio Shack many years ago, and parts were available for special order on many of the things they sell. When Kyosho Mini-Zs first came out 3 years ago, my local hobby store did not have parts for them. After time and popularity grew, parts became easier to obtain. Only time will tell if this is the case for XMODS. The XMODS concept is too good for Radio Shack to drop the ball on this one. I hope that as the official XMODS web site grows, that there will be a FAQ and Forum like most RC car web sites.
