yo TT, how are you placing your cells in the chassis? laying down side by side or side by side standing up on end within the car? If side by side standing up, get the batteries pushed all the way forward or backward and simply place the pcb where it fits best, I flipped my pcb so that the pot and the big capacitor kind of nested where the batteries weren't then just crammed the body on.

batteries side by side laying down is the best-- lowest center of gravity but it takes some sculpting cutting some plastic in the bit to get them to fit, mostly cutting out the corners just before the rear wheel wells.

Not the easiest mod. but just disconnect everything from the PCB and get those steering wires out of the way or its premature death, although there is a way to make new steering coils-I've never succeeded in making them but worth a try.
