I think that may be possible....thought about the same thing...i have a schematic for the 27Mhz transmitter and have started doing a little experimentation....the tx chip has a turbo pin....just a matter of finding the pinout on the chip in the car and trying to utilize that signal....unfortunately all theoretical here, I have been too busy to do any real work on it....i'll keep you posted...if anyone else has tried this please let me know...I haven't found any info on anyone doing this without a pcb swap.
