Gun Flare mod, etc.
Still interested in how you did your gun flare mod, Meltdown. In particular, where did you put the LED and how did you wire the transistor?
I'm thinking of fabricating a new barrel from 3/32" or 1/8" styrene tube. Then using 1/16" or 3/32" acrylic rod as a core. The acrylic rod is available in clear, flourescent red, orange and green. The LED would be mounted inside the turret, the acrylic rod would conduct the light flashes through the barrel.
Haven't tried any of this yet. Need to do some experimenting.
After the gun flare mod is completed, will try to decode the infrared signals from the transmitter and the tank cannon. Hope to use that for external sound generation.
