Thanks for the reply, Meltdown. Also am a tech guy. Have many ideas for modifications. Was thinking of using a light pipe for the cannon, with an LED in the turret for the gun flare. The pipes are available here .125" x 1.2". Then the LED could be surface mount or thru hole type.

When I get the chance, I will decode the tank and controller IR signals. This would allow to build a stand-alone decoder, which could make cannon sounds, etc. Structures could then be devised, that would respond to cannon attack.
