I started by penciling the different pieces onto the polystyrene. Then I would cut it with an exacto knife, using a laminate board(left over from my kitchen counter) to guide the cuts. Unfortunately, the polystyrene has to be cut with the exacto knife fully through it. Meaning, you can’t cut it on a board, you have to cut it leaning over an edge. This was note much a problem though.
