Yeah, watch it with the Honda bashing. When was the last time you got 100 hp/liter out of your big blocks? I've seen a CRX run a high 10 WITHOUT turbo...thats a naturally aspirated 10 second CRX ladies and gentlemen. I've also seen the Papadakis AEM Civic run sub 9s. Mind you, this is all front wheel drive with under 3 liters of displacement.
Man I can drag up all sorts of videos on the internet, like the Civic hatch beating the Viper, etc.
Anyway, S2000s run 14s stock, yes. However you can't have 17 year old kids selling weed to 9th graders to buy an S2000 driving, because they aren't what you call "skilled" like people who test drive them are. And 225 hp for a 4 cylinder non turbo is pretty impressive. Cut out a couple hundred pounds, put slicks on back, sport flywheel and clutch, and after about $2000 you'll be in the 13s. Another $3500 for a good turbo setup and you're in the 12s, possibly 11s.
This could turn into a neverending battle between imports and domestics. So, having said my piece, I will return to my affairs. Lets just say the two types of tuning are completely different and cannot be compared to each other.
