Babykiller, that is possible, but the armature would be unbalanced and possible cause the motor to run slower. Why do you think people true electric motors on lathes? How would it cut the power in half? If it was done correctly (using a precision machine) it would all depend on how much wire was taken off.

Btw, yes it is possible. Is it likely to work good? not really. Any fool can go out and cut some wire off their motor and call it a 6.0 I myself need to see it to beleive it.. Go see Jims Black book of electric motors to educate yourself on the matter..
