Matt, this morning I was checking out the Japanese DigiQ sites and found this single page showing what some people to help fix their steering:

DigiQ Front Wheel Shaft Mod

It appears that they make or buy some sort of metal shim, and by placing it on the top of the front wheel shaft, it holds down the shaft better so that the up-and-down movement of the wheels is limited. If you look at the picture on the left, it shows the metal shim is holding down the shaft on the tiny knob part in the middle. The picture on the right shows the person has split that part of the shim, and spread the two resulting flaps to the sides of the knob. This must have a different effect on the car.

Since my NSX-R has no steering problems, I thought of taking out the front wheels, and putting it in my Cox Beetle to try out. I found that the shaft is different, and you can't swap them! The NSX-R shaft is a lot thicker near the wheels, and the center knob is gone. Instead the knobby part is molded into the chassis of the NSX-R. Now I'm thinking that my Cox Beetle really needs to be modded.

Well, now I'm on a mission to make one of those shims! If I can figure out how to make it soon, I'll definitely post results and how to make it
