well you could. however the HO slot bodies are about 60-70 mm depending on the car. the bits need a body thats about 53-54 mm from bumper to bumper(if my measurments are correct... i have a block cut to the correct length so i just place the block up to the car im molding) so that you can put the body on the car without making custom attachments for the body. so yes you can move the wheelwells, but then you will be velcroing or adding length to your car to make the body fit. i am puttying over the wheel wells and when the bodys are formed they will just need to be cut out just like a slot body. however im making them to directly fit on the Bit with no other mods.
i also have a question on painting if anyone might have some input that would be helpful. I was in the craft store looking at the putty and stuff when i saw this rub on foil. i.e. chrome, gold, copper... has anyone tried this stuff. i would imagine you could put it on and just spray some clear over it and you would be good to go. and being these bodys would be painted from the bottom it should last through a number of table to tile crashes...
