don't worry i ran into the same problem as you. i got a bit char-g 2.2 motor and a bit char-g 2.6. the 2.2 blew the 2.6 by a long shot. after trying another bit char-g 2.6, the 2.2 still beat it. then when the kit racers went on sale at target for $1.98, i picked up a couple with the 2.6 motor in them.
then went home and tested them. the kit racer 2.6 blew away the bit char-g 2.2 AND bit char-g 2.6. for some reason the 2.6 from the kit racer was noticably faster than the bit char-g 2.6. i know what everyone will say that the 2.6 in the kit racer is the same exact thing as the bit char-g 2.6. but i don't think it is, i feel that the kit racer 2.6 is faster.
