i havent dremeled or cut anything on the chassis so far. the shaft is just piano wire the same size as the motor shaft( you can get piano wire at hobby people) to hold the shaft in the rear was tricky but the solution was so simple. i needed a flanged bearing to keep the bearing from falling out the rear. so i got an old mini 4wd motor and punched out the flanged motor bushing in it. then to make it fit in the original space where the motor sat before perfectly, i put some heat shrink around the rough edges. you could use a mini 4wd shaft i think but i dont think they make them long enough.
