I got around to modding my chassis today, extented it 5/16", so I can use a HO Slot car body on it.
In the photo, the top left shows the chassis, sectioned on a mill with a .015" slitting saw. Upper right is the extenders, made from delrin in a " H " section. Bottom lefy shows the pieces glued in place, this does leave a 5/16" gap on the bottom which, I'll probably just cover up with tape instead of plastic to save some weight. Bottom right is a Boss Mustang body on the finished product. The better bodies seem to be the older, cabin rearward types instead of the GTP prototype stuff, with those the chassis is a bit tall and the front section tends to be too tall when those type cars tend to have a slanted nose.
