First remove the body, then remove the clear plastic cover over the PCB. Now carefully lift that up and out of the way taking a LOT of care not to break in of the hair-thin wires connected to the PCB or your steering really WILL be screwed up. Now get a small phillips head screw driver (not sure what size) and remove the screw opposite the battery. Now just lift where you just removed the screw (it'll snap off so you'll need a little force) and there will be a small black plastic arm that has the magnet attached to it (in between the two copper coils).
