I can't return it, so I took it apart -(the dud micro sizer 2.6)
It looks well built inside, has nice strong brushes, and the armature looks like a micro-sized 540 type (not hollow wire spool).
The problem seems like "dead spots" or poor brush contact, I've had it apart a few times, checked everything out, and still it runs like $#!T.
I thought it wasn't getting enough current, so I connected it directly to one AA cell---no difference. If I put power to it and slowly turn it with my fingers, I definitely feel little "kicks" like it wants to run, but it wont start on its own.
I'll let you know if I ever sort this one out
