As for the bus I would get a $9.99 Walgreens Clone and extend it's chassis. The clones work with the Zip controller, and you can easily swap the front and back wheels with ZZ wheels so you can swap hubcaps.
The motor on the clone has wires so all you'll have to do is extend the wires on it. as for the gears 4:1, slow taking off, so the first thing I did was to custom fit zip gears on it. not hard!
