when you mention the 3.4 on ebay, it maybe directed towards our line of darkside motors---they are capable of AT LEAST 34,000 RPM's (we do not over rate our motors) with a peak of 36! keep in mind when they rate motors, it is unloaded. The motor needs sufficient torque to spin the gears, just cause a motor can spin up to 38,000 rpms, that doesnt mean that it translates thatt well when installed on the bit! Your wheels will not be spinning 22,000 rpm's to the wheels. Just like a real car on a dyno--- for example, a 127 HP Civic is only supplying about 105 to the wheels on a dyno, the rest is lost to friction in the gears axles etc. that is why some lower rated motors can go faster than higher rated motors at times because they provide enough torque to overcome the friction and weight of the car.
