cool, glad its working somehow, oh BTW if you dont wanna mess up your bit, practice soldering on some broken electronic item that your gonna pitch anyways. or even get one of those $5 portable cassette players and just remove a wire and reconnect it till you get the hang of it. I learned to solder that way, i was given a riaa filter (for turntables) that was fried and i started removing and reinstalling components, pretty soon i was getting good. just remeber to get at least a 15 watt iron, and make sure hte tip is one of hte small, pointy kinds, the flat tips wont do, and gun type soldering tools are too clumsy for this.
