I was speaking with a friend yesterday who sell mini racer cars.
He told me that he was able to make his cars go faster by pushing down on the motor. He had a rubber band holding down the motor. The only problem with this was the fact that he had to move the rubber band everytime he wanted to charge up. I though of a better idea you could put a small metal plastic between the motor and the clip that holds down the motor.
