Well, as I understand it, the Drift Kit is actually a gear set with very hard tires, such that the car will "drift" in the corners. Much like a drift is used in real competitive driving (front-end, rear-end, & 4-wheel).
After finding out what they were, I wasn't as keen on getting one, though I'm reconsidering simply to see how it performs.
You can get them in the Tune-Up boxed set (pretty expensive for one piece unless you also need a car), or set GS-04.
Most shops are sold out at the moment, but I'm sure that'll change.
