Nothing really special, but my soldering iron is a little different. I went to radio shack and bought it, it is standard except the tip tapers like sharpened pencil to a sharp tip. It was like 7 bucks at radio shack. Then just make sure that you get some good electronics solder available anywhere. Goodluck!
