Back in the day, BB stood for Ball Bearing, but in this case the Term "BB" is indeed used to describe the motor as having brass bushings, and not ball bearings. Do not be turn away from this motor though, it does have a lower wind, and the brass bushings are much better than the stockers plastic bushings!
