I don't know. I've never tried to do it. I would think SE batteries are way to wide to fit in the chassis. But, I'm wondering if the SE battery can be seperated into two and crammed in there side by side. Hold on...
Tried it. I cut an SE battery's shrink wrap and just bent it back so they set side by side. The series connection is already there for you.
Looks like it will work. You might even get the PCB back on the right way round since these seem to take up less room that two OG cells. You'd have to solder wires to the batts pos. and neg. terminals since the stock battery connections in the chassis won't work anymore.
