Thumbs down Variable inductor coil

Hi,

I bought a ZipZaps Se (DB5 model) recently. I wanted to do the MosFet mod so I started to remove black paint on the PCB. Saying to myself "Hey, it looks better without the paint, why wouldn't I remove it all !"

Doing so, I accidently cut the wire of the variable inductor coil and screw up my car. I try to resolder the wire adn it actually worked for a while. Then my car took a hard hit and poof, it was gone again. No way to repaire it this time (my soldering job was kidda messy and melted a bit of the coil (

I thought I could replace it with a coil from a bit clone that I have running on 27 mHz, so I started unsolder the damage coil and bang, I accidently desolder and broke the pin of the diode just near.

Now I have 2 problems. I figured out how to replace the diode, but I'm not sure if I'm correct. I did opened the transmitter and found that there a circuit similar to the one I screw (a coil with a diode nearby). Since the transmitter shematics are available, I found that the part is from Philips (part #BB149A). For the coil, when looking to the transmitter's part list, it says "Coil 20T". I searched the web and did not find any reference for that piece.

I have 3 questions :
1- Am I right to think that the transmitter circuit and the receiver circuit (in the car) use the same components ?
2- Is it safe to take the coil from another car ?
3- Does anyone know the reference for a replacement variable inductor coil for the ZipZaps SE.

Thanks
