I would assume so. Another forum/site has a tip on using it at the rear axles (bits & ZZs) to repair the plastic slots that the axles snap into. If it sticks to that , I don't see why not. And since it is thinner, it should not add to much rotating mass.
If it was me, I would scuff up the gears w/ sand paper and use CA.
