I was looking at the old Xmod to the new Xmod. Your old one has the center shaft for the motor to work against to get moving. The new one that shaft is in the AWD kit, so I guess with it not in the chassis the rear wheels get more power from the motor. The downside is you upgrade it to AWD it puts more load on the motor. Look at the AWD kit picture above, I am just guessing it isn't in the car or it wouldn't be in that kit. Also the wheel bearings/bushings on this new chassis is huge next to your older Xmods chassis, if you stick with the bushings you will have a ton of drag.
I didn't say anything about it to a Mini Z.
