Are you sure the axles are going to handle a 300 size (or whatever) Mini-T motor?

You're putting a lot of load on the axles just by adding bigger tyres and the extra weight of the 1/24 body and Mini-T trans. TRU added a slipper and slipping wheel mounts which to me says they are marginal with stock power.

I'm also building a full custom crawler, in 1/32 scale powered by an Epoch motor and Lipo, which is probably about the limit provided you're reasonably careful.

They again, Xmods seem to handle quite a lot of punishment with simular sized UJ's so I could be wrong. I think the perpose of the wheel slippers is actually to protect the UJ is the event of one wheel being twisted while working on the truck.
