personally, i don't like 180 motors(bad experiences, breaking them, fustrating)
-I would suggest getting the motor upgrade kit from
www.minizworkshop.com
theyre in hong kong so expect to wait two weeks!
torque on your stage 2 will ~ double and top speed will be a bit lower
-if you are on a budget try spinbrush magnets and timing advance...it doesn't lower top speed as much and adds a good amount of torque.
-try getting the tamiya torque tuned off of ebay search mini4wd motor...they are the cheapest motor with the most torque(insane for a 130 motor)
-35 turns of 26 ga will not pull 1.4 amps(probably stall) but without load it should pull even less than a stage 2!
remember you can put a lot more wire on a 180 motor armature!
-unless you have experience with winding motors i wouldn't suggest attempting on a 180 motor...i think they are a bit harder to wind.
